Summer Workshop!

This three-part series is for beginners, parents who want to fish with their children but may not know where to start or anyone wanting to learn the basic fishing techniques.

This series is hands on and offers a complete introduction to fishing, from gear and techniques to cleaning and preparing your catch. You can attend one session or all three — each workshop is a standalone experience, but together they offer a full journey from beginner to self-reliant angler.

Session 1:

Fishing Basics

Dates: June 24th or 27th

Learn what gear you need, how to tie knots, cast, use live bait, set the hook, and fish from shore. At the end, we’ll fish using what we’ve covered.

Session 2:

Using Artificial Bait & Lures

Date: July 11th

Explore different lures and artificial bait options, how to use them, and which species they target. We’ll cover plastics, hard baits, and PowerBait.

Session 3:

Cleaning & Preparing Your Catch

Date: July 25th

Learn what to do after you’ve caught a keeper. We’ll demonstrate how to fillet and gut a fish, plus simple ways to prepare it at home.

No experience needed, classes will start at 10am and group size kept small for a better learning experience.
